A horoscope is a map of the sky for a particular date, time and place. For someone to have the same horoscope as you they would have had to have been born on the same day, in the same year, at the same time and in the same place as you. The planets take the same position in relation to the earth only for a minute once every 26 000 years! Each horoscope or birth-chart is, therefore, unique and is made up of of many parts - zodiac signs, houses and, most importantly, planets and the relationships between all these. Because the horoscope is so individual and the parts that comprise it so rich, astrology is a serious subjec that takes some years to master; hence the various schools of astrology that exist around the world. Indeed, astrology is so complex that most astrologers, however experienced, would consider themselves to be permanent students of their art.

Most people are familiar with the sun-sign columns to be found in newspapers, but real astrology is so much more complex than Sun signs, which at best are very general. Newspaper astrology purports to tell everyone with their Sun in the zodiacal sign of Gemini for example, what the week, month or year has in store for them.In truth this is not possible as your horoscope is as unique as your fingerprint or DNA. The Sun sign columnist bases their prognostications on the general characteristics to be associated with the given sun-sign, and since there is some truth in such characteristics, he or she will sometimes strike a chord with the reader. Additionally, when a columnist writes that X planet will touch Y planet in your chart, for a minority of people this will indeed be happening. In contrast, your personal astrologer will take your whole horoscope and a vast number of variables into account. He or she, therefore, has the potential to be much more profound, helpful and accurate in his or her dealings with you, and if you have questions about your work, your relationships or, indeed, anything else, he or she will provide a safe environment where such matters can be discussed.

Our bodies are like sensitive broadcasting and receiving stations. We respond to a broad spectrum of radiant frequencies, not all of which have yet been catalogued by science. Bear in mind it was not so long ago that the idea of radio, movies, x-rays and televison signals would have been consigned to ridicule at best. given recent advances in quantum mechanics, science is on the verge to discovering new subtler interdependencies between everything in the universe, that will demonstrate the ability of even the remotest planets to generate changes in your emotions, thoughts and physical bodies. The movements of the celestial bodies trigger all the major impulses and events in our lives that help us wake up from our half asleep state and initiate the necessary steps that take us closer to self realization.
Highly evolved spiritual adepts reveal that our higher self chooses the best time for birth that will reflect our already existing soul qualities that we have formed in previous reincarnation. so the cosmic energies get imprinted on our astral bodies at the moment of birth and because they are very similar with the energies within us, we evolve into an exact copy of our own chart.

It should be said that astrology is not generally a way of foretelling inevitable fate. Paracelsus, one of the world's greatest astrologers, remarked, quoting the ancients: "The stars incline; they do not compel" (Astra inclinant non necessistant). He meant that while planetary influences create the groundwork and basis for action in any set of circumstances, there is still the element of free will in us all. We have become masters of our own destiny to the degree to which we are no longer subject to the mechanical influences of the conditioned world.
The more we know about our Birth Chart, the more free will we have to make choices. We all came here to learn certain lessons that we cannot "escape." We can, however, freely choose the classroom in which we will learn these lessons. These are shown in your Birth Chart as themes, patterns, challenges and free rides. The more aware you are of these, the more you can decide how to live them. For most of the people, the movements of the planets bring the experiences they signify-some of them are fated and cannot be avoided, but we have the free will to respond to them in any way we want - make something positive and constructive out of it or wallow in self pity.

There is truly no way to find compatibility astrologically with just Sun Signs. To find astrological compatibility, an astrologer needs to compare the natal charts of both people in the relationship. Even having evaluated compatibility, there are still no black-and-white answers. People in a relationship, whether it is a romantic partnership, a business, etc., can still choose to make the extra effort to make a harder or more challenging relationship work. No relationship is "doomed to fail" because of astrology or anything else except that which is within ourselves. We can find, through astrology, the strong points and the challenging points of a relationship for the purpose of making choices about the relationship.
